Special Notice: COVID-19 Update

It is with regret that, due to the spread of COVID-19, on advice from the Baptist Union we have had to postpone our Sunday services and all activity until further notice. An online service will be available here, at 10.30am every Sunday until we can start up our meetings again. You are invited to join with us. The Lent group will also be online at 14.00hrs every Thursday. Just visit this page and the links will be there.

Jesus said, 'Peace I leave with you. My peace, I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27.

We are taking measures to look after the most vulnerable, not just in church, but in the town of Halstead and surrounding communities. If you know an isolated elderly person who needs assistance, please contact us on 01787 479965 - leave a message and details and somebody will be in touch. Jesus told the wonderful story of the Good Samaritan, and this is the time when we as a local church will be the Good Samaritan to anybody in our town or community who needs us. We have a team of volunteers willing to help with shopping, posting mail, urgent supplies, or just a friendly phone call to check you are okay.

We are here for you!

Take government advice at this time. Stay safe.

To Church Members. Approximately 75% of giving and offerings are by Direct Debit Payments or by cheques. For those who give a cash offering, or cheque, please send cheques to the Treasurer. A dedication prayer for the offering will be included as part of our online church service. With all groups cancelling their meetings in the building at this time, the church has a significant loss of income so those giving by cash or cheque please continue your offerings to God through the means suggested.

Below are three links. One from the Government regarding COVID-19 advice, the other taking you to the NHS. Follow these links if you have any concerns of questions about what to do.

We have also provided a link for the Baptist Union website advising on pastoral visiting during this time, and the precautions needed that churches and church members should take before any visitation. If you can do it by phone, phone instead of visiting. Follow the advice.
